Grafton schematic designs released

The latest designs have been unveiled for the Grafton Base Hospital Redevelopment providing Grafton and surrounding communities with a sneak peek.

Accessibility is a key focus of the redevelopment, with all buildings to be seamlessly integrated with the existing hospital, allowing for improved access for patients, visitors and staff.

The redevelopment will integrate new and existing facilities on the campus to preserve the hospital’s rich identity and history. It will deliver a new three-storey building, including:

  • A new Emergency Department

  • Emergency short stay

  • Medical imaging and MRI

  • An inpatient unit

  • Expanded day surgery and operating suite.

The artist impression shows an exciting landscaping design which will create a welcoming space through incorporating culturally inclusive elements that reflect the local region.

The NSW Government is investing $263.8 million in the redevelopment to provide new and enhanced services for the region.

The project team is working alongside staff, stakeholders, and the community to help shape the redevelopment.
